Start time: 11 a.m.
Day 1 is 24 miles. It begins on the west side of Lake Crescent, at the Camp Creek Trailhead, 36.3 miles west of Port Angeles on Hwy 101, South of Hwy 101 on Cooper Ranch Rd. There is parking, toilets and a picnic area at the trailhead. This section of the trail is stunning, smooth, and remote with big trees and peekaboo views of Lake Crescent. The final few miles are on the recently completed Spruce Railroad section of the trail. It has a beautifully smooth surface and travels right along the edge of Lake Crescent. Registration includes a water bottle, swag bag and race bib.
We will offer shuttling back to the start of the day. However, we strongly encourage those who plan to do all 20 miles to park at the Spruce Railroad Trailhead, where a 10 a.m. shuttle will be available to the start of the route. Please be sure to arrive to the Spruce Railroad Trailhead before 10 a.m. if you plan on taking the shuttle to the start of the ride.
