Read, Ride and Reconnect - Port Townsend

Read, Ride and Reconnect

📅 Saturday, March 21, 2026
🕑 2:00 PM
📍 Larry Scott Trail, Port Townsend
Start: Milo Curry Trailhead
Finish: Port Townsend Boat Haven

Join Ian’s Ride for the Community Read Ride, an inclusive group ride celebrating movement, connection, and Port Townsend’s annual Community Read.

The ride begins at 2:00 PM at the Milo Curry Trailhead and travels along the Larry Scott Trail to the Port Townsend Boat Haven, with an aid station at the Cape George Trailhead. The route is a compact, smooth dirt trail, accessible and doable for most accessibility devices, as well as cyclists and riders of all abilities.

Shuttling opportunities will be available at Cape George and at the end of the ride, with return service back to the Milo Curry Trailhead to make participation easy and flexible.

After the ride, participants are invited to gather at Social Fabric Brewing for pizza, beverages, and community conversation.

This event is inspired by the Port Townsend Public Library’s Community Read selection, Ian’s Ride: A Long-Distance Journey to Joy by Karen Polinsky, which explores themes of resilience, accessibility, and the power of shared experiences.

Community Read events are happening all month long, so be sure to check out the full calendar and find more ways to connect.

Come ride, connect, and celebrate community together.
